The second option is the Xcel Bronze program. These classes are 2 hours long, and are more accelerated in skill development on the same four events, as well as flexibility and strength training. This is for girls of all ages, for parents that would like a longer duration of class, and more time for new skills and routine development.
Curriculum and Evaluations: Each session/season is 13 weeks long. Students will be learning skills and concentrating each week on development of routines on Beam, Bars, Floor and Vaulting. Each Season ends with an evaluation of skills. All students are expected to attend the 4 season Evaluations. This give kids the ability to show off their routines and skills, get recognition for the session, and be evaluated to see if they are ready to move up to the next level. Children are rewarded with certificates, medals, ribbons and goody bags. Each Evaluation has a theme, a t-shirt and a leotard that students may purchase to look their best.
In 1964, our family started a small gymnastics and dance studio outside of Washington DC.. Today, we still have that same small center feeling with two locations one in its current location and one here in Apopka, Florida, we just have a few more students then we used to. Family values are as important to us today as as they were back then. It’s important to us to always put our students first and to have a gym that is a positive learning place for kids.
