Kellen Tichenor

Co-Owner of MGA Gymnastics; Manager of MGA Gymnastics Apopka; Girls Competitive Team Coach

Former Elite-level gymnast qualifying to the US National Qualifier. Kellen has over 30 years of gymnastics experience with over 22 years of coaching experience from Pre-School level through Level 10.  

Kellen has spent a lifetime in gymnastics. Beginning gymnastics at age 7, Kellen would spend the next 17 years as a competitive gymnast, advancing up to Elite level. Kellen has several state, regional, and national titles, including making the cut to be in the US National Qualifier at the Olympic training grounds.

Kellen now is co-owner in MGA Gymnastics in Maryland and Florida, as well as Sunny Fields Farms in Bushnell, FL where he lives with his wife Jasmine and three kids.

Brian Shrewsbury
Co-Owner of MGA Gymnastics; Boys Competitive Team Coach
Elite-level coach with over 35 years of gymnastics training experience at all levels of gymnastics in both men and women's disciplines. 
Brian has been in the gym since birth, with his parents Jerry and Carolyn starting the first gym. Brian spent a lifetime learning to coach and perfecting his craft, training both boys and girls from beginning level all the way through Elite. Brian trained thousand of athletes, many with several state, regional, and national titles. After taking the gym over from his parents, Brian expanded the gym into Florida, where his now also owns a farm and lives with his family, including Barbara his wife of over 25 years, two of his 7 children, and 3 of his grandkids, who call him Pop.

Barbara Shrewsbury

Co-Owner of MGA Gymnastics; Manager of MGA Gymnastics Bowie

Barbara has gymnastics coaching experience for 25 years from Preschool up to Level 10 in girls gymnastics. 

Barb has been coaching and running the gym ever since she and her husband Brian took over the gym in Maryland over two and half decades ago. Barb also had six of her ten children in gymnastics growing up, and currently co-owns and runs both MGA locations in Maryland and in Florida. She now lives on the family farm in Bushnell, FL with Brian her husband of over 25 years, two of her children, and three of her grandkids, who call her Nana.

Jasmine Tichenor  

Co-Owner of MGA Gymnastics; Manager of MGA Gymnastics Apopka; Head of HR

Jasmine joined our MGA family in 2020. Jasmine has an Associate's degree in Psychology from MCC, BS in Psychology from UAGC, and is certified in Human Resource Management Certification.  Jasmine began learning about gymnastics after meeting her husband Kellen, and now has several certifications in the sport and co-owns and runs the Apopka location. Jasmine lives on the family farm in Bushnell with Kellen and their three children.

Front Desk Manager Angelica De Jesus
Angelica has been the front desk manager at MGA Gymnastics for over 3 years, but has been a part of the MGA family for 12 years, when she first brought her daughter for competitive team! She has a background in management at also currently works for Orange County Schools as an Elementary School receptionist.

Coach Mark Busse
Class Instructor; Girls Competitive Team Coach
Mark has been a part of the MGA family for over 10 years, coaching everything from preschool to competitive team. Mark has over 40 years of total coaching experience, in both men's and women's disciplines and has even coached internationally.  He is also a former competitive gymnast, himself.

Coach Drake Shrewsbury
Boys Team Coach; Class Instructor
Drake grew up in the gym and has both competed and coached gymnastics, with over 20 years of experience in the sport. He has now been coaching for over 7 years, and is the head coach of the Trampoline & Tumbling program, co-coach of the boys gymnastics program, and also teaches boys gymnastics classes. Drake is the son of Brian and Barbara Shrewsbury and lives on the family farm.

Coach Sabrina Smith

Girls Competitive Team Coach; Preschool Class Coach; T&T Class Coach; Girls Pink Gymnastics Class Coach

 

Sabrina did cheerleading and acrobatics for 9 years, has experience in aerial acrobatics and has had a personal trainer certification for 5 years. She has taught gymnastics/tumbling/acrobatics a total of 6 years and has been with MGA since 2021. She has a BS of International Studies in Spanish and is currently in graduate school for her Masters of Occupational Therapy.  She has been married for 3 years and is a dog mom to Tucker.

Coach Tomeka Martin-Noughton 

Girls Pink Gymnastics Class Coach; Ninja Squad Class Coach

Coach Tomeka has been coaching with us since 2021. Tomeka became a recreational coach through our MGA Parent Training Program, and has continued her certifications through USA Gymnastics. Tomeka is a mother of 3 girls, and even owns her own restaurant! Coach Tomeka says "I enjoy working with kids, teaching them, understanding them and watching them grow into who they are."

Coach Molly Rodriguez

Coach Molly has been a part of the MGA family since she was 6 years old, and was part of the first competitive girls team here in our Apopka location! Competing all the way up through Level 8, Molly has over 10 years of gymnastics experience. She is a senior in high school where she participates in ROTC, SGA, and NHS. She is also a part of her high school Olympic weightlifting team. Molly says that "Coaching at MGA is a great opportunity for me to grow and learn more as a person and coach, overall it brings me joy to be able to help kids find themselves and show them what they are capable of doing with the right mindset and dedication."

Coach K Hi my name is Kiernan Vallone, I am 17 years old and a senior in high school. My main hobby is volunteering at a local cat shelter. I started gymnastics at four years old and later took lessons at MGA!

Coach Julianne Stultz 

Girls Pink Gymnastics Class Coach; T&T Class Coach

Coach Julianne was a previous competitive gymnast with MGA for four years and has 7 years total of gymnastics experience. Julianne says: "I continue my passion for the sport by coaching. I am also on a performing aerial arts team, with apparatuses including the silk, lyra, and hand-balancing."

Coach Xariya Gadson 

Girls Pink Gymnastics Class Coach; Afterschool Coach

Coach Xariya (pronounced "zar-ee-yuh") has been with MGA since the summer of 2022. Xariya began with us as a summer camp coach, then completed the extra training and USAG certifications to become an MGA class coach! Xariya is also the main coach for our afterschool program.

Coach Taylor Rodriguez 

Girls Pink Gymnastics Class Coach; Girls Pink Plus Gymnastics Coach, T&T Class Coach

Coach Taylor is a former Xcel Gold competitive gymnast at MGA! During her time as a competitive gymnast, she helped the Xcel Gold team win the title of regional champions! Taylor is Florida born and raised, and says "I enjoy working with children and helping them become better in gymnastics."
